Born in Georgia, but raised on the water south of Boston, MA. Jackson Wetherbee started singing as a child and was influenced by old reggae and soul legends, as well as artists like Jack Johnson and Slightly Stoopid. These artists captivated and led him to teach himself the guitar and delve into songwriting while a young student. After high school, Jackson started making a name for himself locally and touring nationally and internationally through Europe and the Caribbean. Jackson is now the lead vocalist, writer, and rhythm guitarist for American reggae band The Elovaters. Their debut album, The Cornerstone, sophomore album Defy Gravity, EP Double Vision, third album Castles, and newest full-length album ENDLESS SUMMER have reached top 10 on Billboard and iTunes charts, with Defy Gravity reaching #1 on Billboard Reggae and Endless Summer reaching #1 on iTunes Reggae and top 10 in overall genres on iTunes. Several of The Elovaters’ songs are in heavy rotation on SiriusXM’s “No Shoes Radio,” “Margaritaville,” and “The Spectrum,” and they are currently touring in North America and the Pacific Islands in support of their 2023 full-length album Endless Summer.
